DotProc software is designed to help geoscientists in analysis of
two-dimentional (2D) spatial data sets in a highly visual manner.
Quick and easy decisions about large numbers of data points
can be made without the necessity of much mathematical skill.
A series of analytical functions is provided for the analysis of groups of
data points with known X-Y coordinates.
Data sets to be analyzed may represent any group of spatially defined objects such as:
- a type of mineral deposit
- intrusions of a particular composition
- geochemistry results
- drill intersections projected to horizontal
- etc...
The following functions can be performed with DotProc:
- Fry analysis of point distributions
- Production of Fry plots
- Production of orientation diagrams
- Production of line-length plots
- Fractal analysis of point distributions
- Uniformity test for point distributions
The program operates in a Windows environment (Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP)
and can be used in conjunction with GIS software.
