CryptArkan - Manual PDF Print E-mail

Operation guide

The use of CryptArkan is fairly straight-forward. Please note that container files are directly modified, so create backups before hiding data in them. The "Files" tab contains two lists: left Container and right Data.

Lists

Use menu items or shortcut buttons to add files to the lists. Multiple files can be selected in the Open Dialogs. When adding container files, if more than one valid plugins for the file are found, you will be asked to choose one:

When maximum available data is calculated, you can skip the process by selecting "Skip the rest of the files" on the progress window:

When hiding or unhiding data you can cancel the operation by clicking "Cancel" button:

If you want to use encryption, then select password and algorithms to be used on the "Encryption" tab. Password must be confirmed only when hiding data.

The "Plugins" tab lists all available plugins:

On the "CD Drive" tab you can select a CD drive to be used:

CD Writing

The writing / buring of WAV files to CD-Recordables is successfully tested with Adaptec Easy CD Creator. Ahead NERO - Burnig ROM, however, modifies a few bytes of audio samples resulting in garbage contents of unhidden files.

Thanks

CryptArkan uses an open source akrip32.dll library which you can find at http://akrip.sourceforge.net.
