CryptArkan encrypts and hides data files and directories inside one or more container files, such as sound/music and images. Hidden data can be directly read off an Audio CD.

Main features of CryptArkan include:

Encrypts data files to be hidden
Hides data files in multiple container files
Whole directories can be hidden, preserving subdirectory structure
Different hiding methods can be used for separate container files
Different amounts of the original container file can be used for data (e.g. 1, 2, 4 or 8 bits of a 16 bit stereo WAV file)
Data can be read directly from an Audio CD (created with container WAV files)
Uses plugin technology: a new feature can be added by simply downloading a new plugin.

Cipher Define algorithm used for encrypting data

Blowfish.dll Blowfish 64bit block cipher. 448bit key. ECB, CBC, CFB 8bit, OFB, OFB counter 8bit modes.

Cast128.dll CAST-128 64bit block cipher. 128bit key. ECB, CBC, CFB 8bit, OFB, OFB counter 8bit modes.

Gost.dll GOST 64bit block cipher. 256bit key. ECB, CBC, CFB 8bit, OFB, OFB counter 8bit modes.

RC6.dll RC6 128bit block cipher. 2048bit key. ECB, CBC, CFB 8bit, OFB, OFB counter 8bit modes.

Skipjack.dll Skipjack 64bit block cipher. 80bit key. ECB, CBC, CFB 8bit, OFB, OFB counter 8bit modes.

Hash Define algorithm used for calculation of cipher key

RMD160.dll RIPEMD-160 160bits hash

SHA1.dll SHA1 160bits hash

UNREGISTERED version has the following limitations:

Only the following plugins are provided: wav16s1b.dll, cd16s1b.dll, bmp24b1b.dll, Skipjack.dll and RMD160.dll
Only 2 container files and 2 data files or 1 directory can be used
Data files and directories are limited to 10 kB
Only the first 2 Audio CD tracks can be used
